Thanks to its compact size, professionals in road construction and green space maintenance can use the petrol-powered STIHL TS 420 cut-off machine to perform extremely demanding cutting tasks with high reliability. The powerful 350 mm cutting wheel enables cuts up to 125 mm deep in concrete, stone, asphalt, mild steel, or iron pipes. The STIHL anti-vibration system of the TS 420 ensures precise handling of the cut-off machine, even during long working hours, helping to protect your muscles and joints. The ergonomic handle design also contributes to this. For easy starting of the economical STIHL 2-MIX engine, the machine is equipped with a decompression valve that significantly reduces the effort required to pull the starter cord.

The water connection ensures a continuous supply of water to the cutting wheel of the STIHL TS 420. The water binds dust and cools the cutting wheel, while the long-life air filtration system and pressure compensator extend cleaning intervals and allow you to work uninterrupted for longer periods. The separation of clean air and fuel mixture within the engine increases performance while reducing fuel consumption. In the video we created, the petrol-powered TS 420 cut-off machine is shown in action on construction sites and in civil engineering projects.

MANUAL FUEL PUMP: For fewer starting strokes. The manual fuel pump reduces the number of strokes required to start the power tool, making the start-up process quicker and easier This is particularly helpful after longer breaks in operation. To use it, actuate the pump several times before starting. This will ensure that there is enough petrol in the system when starting.

COMPENSATOR: Reduced maintenance. The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.

MANUAL COMPENSATOR: Effortless start-up. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your power tool. When starting, you can allow some of the compressed mixture to escape from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the start-up system and reduces the amount of force required on the starter cord.

WATER CONNECTION: For dust binding and cooling. For work with your power tool, this provides a permanent water supply to the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. The dosable water connection directly on the machine makes cutting with water easy and convenient.

SEMI AUTOMATIC DRIVE BELT TENSIONING: Extends the belt's service life. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. For more detailed information on re-tensioning, please refer to the operating instructions of your power tool.

PRE-SEPERATION AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM: Ensuresa long filter service life. The long-life air filter system for cut-off machines does not collect coarse dust particles, but uses cyclone air routing to separate them and then discharges them into the ambient air. With just this first step the system removes around 80% of dust particles in the intake air. This enables an extremely long filter service life, and makes the tool easy to maintain.

ERGONOMIC HANDLE: For precise guidance. The ergonomic handle not only ensures you have a firm grip on the power tool, it also enables you to make precise cuts and guide them along marked lines. The quiet running and low vibration of the machine allows you to make precise cuts comfortably.

STIHL 2-MIX ENGINE: Highly power-efficient. With the STIHL 2-MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM: For more pleasant work. Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.
