Easy easy application in 6 steps
1. The aluminium holding rail is placed around the building and parallel to the ground, being fastened on the substrate with special anchors (2 pieces/linear metre).
2. Next, the adhesive (ISOMAT AK-T35) can be applied on the thermal insulation boards (EPS, XPS, MINERAL WOOL) in 2 different ways:
a) Universally on the surface of the plate with a notched trowel, if the substrate is smooth.
b) Along the perimeter of the board and in 2 or more spots in its centre, using a trowel, if the substrate is uneven.
3. The thermal insulation boards (EPS, XPS, MINERAL WOOL) are then bonded by being placed from bottom up, in horizontal, consecutive layers overlapping each other so as to form a layout of crossed joints that will prevent cracking of the overlaid render.
4. The following day, the thermal insulation boards (EPS, XPS, MINERAL WOOL) are mechanically fixed with collar head anchors, the length of which is selected according to the thickness of the board and the type of the substrate.
5. Next, the base coat (ISOMAT AK-T35/T55/THERMO ACRYL/T65) is applied universally on the boards, by means of a notched trowel in strips wider than 1m. Afterwards, the fiberglass mesh is placed and pressed on the still fresh layer of the base coat with a smooth trowel.
6. After the base coat has fully dried, the surface is primed with the primer of the respective render that will be used. After the primer has dried, the surface is then coated with the pasty, acrylic, silicone or silicone-silicate renders MARMOCRYL of ISOMAT.
