The compact and lightweight cordless hedge trimmer STIHL HLA 40 cordless hedge trimmer, featuring a telescopic shaft and adjustable cutting head, is ideal for trimming tall hedges, bushes, low vegetation, and ornamental trees in private spaces. It operates with high-performance lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AS system. The motor of the STIHL HLA 40 cordless hedge trimmer is particularly quiet, allowing use without hearing protection and in noise-sensitive areas.

The ergonomically optimized control handle with soft-grip surfaces ensures comfortable and secure handling, with all controls easily accessible. The loop handle and the tool-free adjustable telescopic shaft contribute to the excellent ease of use of the STIHL HLA 40 cordless hedge trimmer. For greater comfort and flexibility during operation, the included shoulder strap can be quickly attached and removed from the carrying ring on the shaft and the machine.

The laser-cut, diamond-ground, and hardened cutting blades provide high cutting performance. The tool-free blade angle adjustment allows easy adaptation within a range of 115°, from -45° to +70°, for overhead work or side trimming. The screw-on tip protector safeguards the cutting system when working close to the ground.

Thanks to the detachable shaft, the overall length can be reduced from 260 cm to 115 cm, making transport and storage on a wall mount easier.

TELESCOPIC SHAFT WITH ROTATING LOCKING COUPLING

EASILY ADJUSTABLE SHAFT LENGTH. The square telescopic shaft features a rotating locking coupling, allowing quick, tool-free adjustment of the shaft length (adjustable along the entire length for different machines). Depending on the machine you use, this enables efficient trimming of tall and wide hedges or cutting branches at high reach.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY SLOT IN THE HOUSING

DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE MACHINE. This machine allows you to insert the required rechargeable battery from the STIHL AK system directly into the motor housing. This increases mobility and flexibility during operation.

EXCELLENT MACHINE BALANCE

REDUCES FATIGUE DURING WORK. Thanks to the ideal center of gravity provided by the rechargeable battery, the machine tilts very little, promoting more comfortable and less tiring work.

FOR OPTIMAL TRIMMING. The double-sided blade allows optimal cutting of your hedge vertically, horizontally, and at angles. Even thicker branches are easily trimmed thanks to the double-sided knives.

QUICK-ADJUST SYSTEM

MAKES COMFORTABLE AND EFFICIENT WORK POSSIBLE. With the quick-adjust system of your hedge trimmer, you can work flexibly and comfortably. The knife bar can be set to different angles depending on the task. For safe and compact transport, fold the knife bar parallel to the shaft until it locks automatically.
