With the petrol-powered STIHL FS 55 R brushcutter, demanding garden owners can efficiently clear areas between shrubs and plants. As the brushcutter is designed for mowing in very tight spaces, it features a loop handle that offers excellent freedom of movement. The grass trimmer is equipped with a powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine, which is also economical in use. The STIHL FS 55 R comes with STIHL ElastoStart to make starting the brushcutter easier. This system smooths out load peaks, thereby protecting your muscles and joints.

The single-handed multi-function handle means you can access all engine controls with one hand, making operation easier—and therefore your work as well. When using this petrol-powered trimmer for longer periods, the harness included as standard ensures better weight distribution, allowing you to work with greater ease. The STIHL FS 55 R is also equipped with the highly durable AutoCut C 26-2 mowing head. It can be fitted with various mowing lines and is ideal for trimming lawn edges and for clearing work around trees, near shrubs, and along walls.

MANUAL FUEL PUMP: REDUCES STARTING OPERATIONS. The manual fuel pump decreases the number of starting operations, speeding up the starting process. This is especially useful after extended pauses. To use it, operate the pump several times before starting. This ensures that there is enough fuel in the carburetor for starting.

SINGLE-HAND MULTI-FUNCTION HANDLE: EASY OPERATION. Thanks to the single-hand multi-function handle, you can control your machine easily and reliably with one hand. All relevant controls are integrated into the handle, making it suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users.

STIHL 2-MIX ENGINE: HIGHLY EFFICIENT AND POWERFUL. The STIHL 2-MIX engine reduces exhaust emissions, fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is designed for minimal maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high performance. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine meets the strict requirements of the European Stage V emission directive.
